Flow Country in Caithness & Sutherland
Wild trout fishing in the far north of Scotland in an area called the Flow Country in Caithness & Sutherland. It is really as wild as Scotland gets and opportunities to catch large amounts of fish and a true highland experience.
We have teamed up with Forsinard Fly Fishers Club and Wellbeck Estate to deliver a luxury wilderness trout fishing trip to the Flow Country in Caithness and Sutherland.
There is a multitude of lochs to fish, from lochs with a limestone geology which produce large wild brown trout every year, to peatland lochs where you are able to catch lots of stunning aggressive wild brown trout. The fishing is a combination of boat fishing and wading the shore lines. Some lochs have great easy access and facilities and others require an argo-cat ride or a short walk to access to ensure we have excellent fishing opportunities for all.
In addition to the trout fishing Bighouse lodge have Kindly offered guests salmon fishing during the week on some areas of the river Halladale. Alternatively if guests would like the opportunity to head out in the lodges sea vessel on fly fishing trips for pollock and mackerel it can also be arranged.
The trip is for a party of 10 and anglers will fish in pairs on a daily basis fishing new areas each day. We have full use of Bighouse lodge and facilities which provides a charming luxury highland escape.
